Little girls make the world sweeter, and dear Zoey is definitely so sweet.
Zoey's mom and dad wanted her to have something special for her first birthday so we began with planning her first birthday session. They already had an outfit picked out, along with showing me ideas for what they were hoping for (They were ON IT.) Seriously, I just had to agree that these ideas could all come together, and I had the pleasure of doing just that. They wanted everything pink and gold, with different textures in the back drop, with little Zoey being the star.
When they first arrived for our studio session, Zoey was a little taken back by all the bright lights, the decorations, and well, me. The thing with kids that I love though, is if you give them a little time to take everything in, allowing them to question all these things, they end up exploring a little bit and when they feel safe they shine like the diamonds that they are. That's exactly what happened when miss Zoey was first sat down on the set up. She shed a few tears, but after all of us sitting on the floor with her, us talking and being relaxed, she joined right in! And boy did she shine!
Mom and dad sang her favorite song, This little light of mine. She even put up her "light" in the form of a finger. Cutest. Thing. Ever.
We were able to get so many cute images of Zoey, that we ended up turning into beautiful prints, matted and put into a gorgeous keepsake box that she will get to enjoy her entire life. The thing I love so much about keepsake boxes is they are so versatile. You can display one image at a time on an easel and rotate them as often as you'd like, the mats make them ready to frame, so you can frame your favorites and hang them proudly, or you can send some as gifts giving room in the box for your next session.
